The weather was so beautiful that I decided to sit outside and tat.
Tat I did, and it was wonderful.
Of course I eventually decided that it was time to go inside. I packed up my tatting gear. I stood up.
Then I heard it - the "ping" of something hitting the concrete.
I didn't pack up my little crochet hook that was resting in my skirt and it fell to the ground. I've been looking since Wednesday and I can't find the hook anywhere. Oh, the horror!
It's not like I don't have other crochet hooks. I do. I have lots that will work to help out my tatting.
But what I don't have is another very fine hook that fits in my tatting kit. You can see it in the photo. The fine, petite and short hook that has been part of my little kit for ages. It's now lost. Oh, the horror!
I'm going to ask my nephew to try to find it and I'll even offer him a reward. But just in case even his young eyes can't find my precious hook I guess I'll start searching on-line to see where I can find a relacement.

i completely understand the way you feel. hope you find your hook. i hate loosing my most useful tools. I once ripped my room apart looking for two of my shuttles...my favs... and i didn't find them until the next day, by mistake no less :) so theres hope.
Oh, I know where you can get very fine hooks from that will fit in your tin. Georgia Sietz sells them. I've just bought two more from her as 'back ups'!!!!!
